Victory Week

So you and I are gonna have an amazing week…can you feel it? Hang with me…

Simply put, let’s choose to Live the Victory this week. We can win the hour…win the day…and win the week.

All this gets me thinking about sports…about teams coming together, full of heart and comradery… to win the game! And that makes me think about what might one of be the greatest moments in sports on American “soil.”

Do you remember when the US hockey team beat the Russians in the 1980 Olympics? It’s called the Miracle on Ice…no one thought is was possible. We’ve had this picture (to the right) up in our gym for nearly 10 years…the exact moment after the time ran out…can you imagine the feeling??? A bunch of 19 and 20 year old Midwestern boys…amateurs…coming together to do the impossible!

The Russians were Pros mostly in their mid 30’s…they’d hardly lost over the past 5 years! They challenged the NHL All-Stars to an exhibition one week before the Olympics and dominated them!

But the amazing thing about sports is the heart component. This heart component is central to my Core Reprogramming method. When the heart is engaged, you don’t have to be the best to win. The video to the right is the re-enactment of the speech before the game (I’m not a hockey fan, but the movie The Miracle could be the greatest sports movie of all time!). So many great lines….!

If you watch this with an open heart, I can almost guarantee the odds of winning the week will improve greatly (go to 1:43 if you want to get right to the speech).

Let’s win this week, yes or yes? Let’s do this!
